Application for Nomination – Senate

Applying to nominate for the Senate is a more involved process than applying to run for the party in a House of Representatives seat.

Applying to nominate for the Senate involves four steps:

Step One: Completion of the Application for Nomination – Senate – see below

Step Two: Uploading a completed Candidate Deed. Independent legal advice is highly recommended. CLICK HERE FOR THE CANDIDATE DEED.

Step Three: You will be required to supply a video of approximately five minutes duration making your case of why the party should endorse you for a Senate position.

Step Four: Short-listed candidates will be invited to an interview with the Nominations Committee.

If you would like to GO BACK to apply to run in the House of Representatives CLICK HERE. This application involves a shorter form that can be completed in as little as 10 minutes.

If you have any questions regarding the process of applying to be a Senate candidate you can email the Secretary of the Nominations committee, Suzette Luyken, via suzetteluyken@legalisecannabis.org.au.

To continue with an Application for Nomination – Senate begin with Step One below. You will be guided through the steps.

Please note that an Application for Nomination – Senate can only be processed once you have completed Steps 1, 2 and 3
