The Federal seat of Fadden in southeast Queensland has been vacated and Legalise Cannabis is heading to the polls on July 15 with a candidate for the lower house seat. The electorate, which takes in Australia’s famous Gold Coast strip, will be contested by longstanding Legalise Cannabis Australia committee member and local resident Suzette Luyken.
Suzette believes every Australian should have the choice to consume cannabis socially or medically without being treated like criminals. “I would also like to see a better system in place for medical users, starting with a push for the Government to subsidise the cost of products as was recommended in the Barriers Inquiry 2020,” she said.
